I don't know who like me had the opportunity to live the United States of America and enjoy the day I consider being the most absurd of the year: Black Friday.
For those who do not know English, this fixed appointment, properly called "black Friday", is nothing more than that fateful day when the doors of the country of toys open without delay, allowing us to fulfill all our desires, or almost.
I remember very well the annus domains 2016, a "too" freezing Philadelphia, a Thanksgiving day (thanksgiving) wonderfully full of food ... and a black Friday coming.
The United States are known for the motto "If it is large, it can exist even larger" and so every shop, shopping center, bazaar, emporium and supermarket, are upholstery cities with the most important information of the year: "The Black Friday is coming ".
While I see a Jon Snow on horseback and a Rocky Balboa statuary (but for the cold), between the snow and the night frost of Philly, I look at the time, it is 23.30 and my friends are taking me to a great Multi store Brand, in which you can find the pajamas for sleeping, up to the television for the living room.
If you are wondering where I want to go to parry, well it is simple: American films do not lie, because people, on this day of discounts, launches as if it were a fiery ball for medieval catapults.
You may find the son of the neighbor missing inside a washing machine, or the sister of the mayor's nephew who is trying to convince her husband to buy a new kitchen table, while he compromises for the new Playstation.
Dresses in the Bathroom department, video games in the shoes department, up to animals in the technology department: chaos reigns.
The average customer of Black Friday must be the best offer, thus guaranteeing the best Christmas gift and beyond!
Think of the people who push on the sliding doors of the shops, people who pull their hair and who tighten, calculating and trampling anyone who hinders the way to the goal. More than the pleasure of shopping, it becomes the "pleasure of being able to breathe" while shopping.
Don't ask me what I bought on that distant night of 2016, but I just remember it was something really useless ... I needed? Obviously not, but I had to have it!
Here is the base of Black Friday, the day when the useless also becomes mysteriously useful, but only because it costs less!
If you think about it, this day was designed, in 1924, by the Macy's warehouses, still today a very successful multi brand store in the USA, to facilitate purchases before Christmas. To date, however, that same facilitation becomes a mix of sweat and re -assigned anger, if you don't be able to take what you are looking for, but at a low price!
By now, this attempt has also arrived in our cities and takes more and more foot, still leaving some glimmers of hope, because it seems that people don't get to the hands then so easily. But are we sure that we too will not be among those who would push the old woman in front of us, in order to have the last i-phone, discounted by 2.3%?
While we leave the arduous sentence to posterity, I remind you that the Black Friday 2021 will be held on November 26th.
If you are looking for me, I'm the one with the face drained on the glass of my favorite shop!
