I am a traveler, one of those that once a month, despite being afraid of planes, airports, lost suitcases and too many travel documents, organizes, planns and part, but in this period everything seems to be more difficult.
For those like me who has always had the suitcases ready behind the door, one with summer garments and another with winter garments, know how much this Covid influenced our desire to leave and discover the world. Take any means of transport, by land, sea, sky, boundless space and galaxy, becomes complicated, not only for the "new rules" to follow, but for the quantity of documents to bring with you.
I remember that from children, to elementary schools, the teachers made us bring a thousand textbooks (beyond anthology), making the bell of the first hour more complicated and heavy more complicated: here, I feel so at every trip; It is me, my suitcase and a roller archive that I move with great difficulty in which I insert my data one thousand million times.
It doesn't matter where you go, if it is the European Union, or a country outside of its competence, because you are sure, a travel document will miss you. Traveling has become even more complicated than an Ryanair flight when you have 11 kg in your suitcase, but the limit is 10 and you are forced to put a thousand clothes on you, with 40 degrees, in order not to pay more.
So imagine to open your wallet and spread all the documents on the table of your stay. Among the receipts, the photos of the people who are no longer there, the Santini, the phototesses never used if not for that night in the cell and a few euros wrinkled, here are the identity card (the pussy for those who are lucky) and the driving license; Add to all this, a possible passport, in which the photo chosen will be with you for 10 years, and you wonder if at 40 you will still have such flowing hair.
But notice to chatter, all the necessary travel documents must be on this table. Let's go in order:
- Passport - document that you only use to go beyond the Italian state. In Europe it would not be needed, but we all know that nothing is clear and it would not be surprised if France decides to found a separate state and England merged with Iceland. If we have it, I always recommend taking it
- THERE - I hope you have patience as a natural dowry, because multiple times, in the countries different from yours, they will take the briga to understand if the document is truthful, real, if you are in the photo, if the signature coincides with that affixed to the document, if You brought the contact lenses, if you are still a student and if you are really 1.70 tall (but we all know that I am 1.73 tall and this is not discussed)
- Driver's license - If you have not decided to book a car with which to discover the city/country of destination, I recommend you leave it at home, because at 90% you will lose it without any logical criterion. In fact, on the road, it is still useful as Salvini to the European Parliament
- Green pass - whether you want or not, whether you are #novax, #provax #sichebelvaccinovaccino or #nocheschifomistannoNOnoculandil5g, you must have this fundamental document with you, in which not only the two doses must be present, but also a molecular swab (obviously it depends on the country in which you care to go). The only document that digitally is fine and that does not make volume in the suitcase (except if you are an over 70 and prefer to print it)
- The PDLF - I would also like to explain it to you, but I don't really know what's the use. The only thing I know is that without this document, one could not go back to Italy. Inside, all the information that is on other documents, but requests in such a strange way that sometimes it also doubted what your true name is. There are about 6/7 steps and a beautiful final pdf to present to boarding, nothing simpler.
Now, it does not weigh all these documents, because as I have made room for the masks, I will make room for everything that will give me the opportunity to visit this world, but are we sure that all this is necessary? And above all, is each waste controlled?
My answer, with great regret, is "no, not as you should".
And then, travel as well, but you are conscientious, prudent and attentive, because attention, on the other hand, is not always the one you expect.
